Amicus Foundation -- Scholarships




These children live in an isolated community in Peten, Guatemala. It is a financial strain on their families to send their children to school. Their mothers are working with the Nuevo Horizonte project, learning about community building, participation and empowerment. This is but one of the communities that can benefit from the Amicus scholarship program.

Both Nuestra Voz and Nuevo Horizonte organizations have students who wish to continue studying, but whose families lack the financial resources to make it possible. Costs vary, depending on the level of the student and whether or not there is a school available in their community. Amicus will match any donation you make towards a scholarship with either of these organization, thus doubling the effect. We will also issue you a tax receipt for any donation over $25.
